The Ophthalmology Department is staffed by experienced doctors, who remain constantly up to date with the latest medical and technological developments, as dictated by multicenter clinical trials.

Our goal is to preserve or enhance the patients’ vision, following a patient-centric, personalized approach.

In collaboration with Laservision.gr, a world-renowned Clinical and Research Eye Institute, we meticulously care for the ocular assessment and treatment in its entirety: from spectacles and contact lens prescription to the most specialized screening examinations and treatments for patients of all ages.

Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery Unit

The Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery Unit specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions associated with the eyelids, eye orbit and lacrimal apparatus. It treats the following conditions with surgery or not:

Eyelids

  • Entropion/Ectropion
  • Trichiasis
  • Blepharoptosis
  • Eyelid retraction (thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy)
  • Blepharochalasis
  • Eyelid and periocular space tumors
  • Restoration of eyelid injuries
  • Ophthalmic dystonia (blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm)

Lacrimal apparatus

  • Obstruction of lacrimal pathways
  • Obstruction of common lacrimal duct
  • Dacryocystitis
  • Congenital and acquired epiphora

Eye orbit

  • Thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy
  • Inflammatory conditions of the eye orbit
  • Cystic lesions and tumors (benign and malignant) of the eye orbit
  • Restoration of eye orbit fractures (blowout)
  • Enucleation, eye and orbital exenteration
  • Restoration of shrunken anophthalmic orbit
