2018: A year filled with acts of love and care for people!

2018: A year filled with acts of love and care, focusing on people!

2018 may be ending, but it leaves behind good memories, laughter, hope and optimism for the future. This year, we supported hundreds of children and fellow citizens who had no access to healthcare or were facing medical problems. We supported non-profit organizations, sports clubs and the society through our services.

Supporting the children

Our focus has always been the children, the most sensitive part of our society. As of 1 July 2018, we have been covering the entire range of annual diagnostic pediatric tests for the children supported by the Ark of the World, the Together for Children and The Smile of the Child associations in Attica. In this way, we have been offering the opportunity to more than 1000 children and their families to smile again, by providing access to the modern healthcare units of the Euroclinic Children’s Hospital.

Supporting the SOS Children’s Villages

We contributed to the significant work of the SOS Children’s Villages, covering a significant amount of living and education expenses for children and adolescence who are growing up at the SOS Children’s Villages in Vari and the Youth House in Palaio Faliro.

Actively supporting the fire-stricken people of Mati

We offered immediate and substantial aid to the fire-stricken people of Mati, opening up the Emergency Department of the Euroclinic Children’s Hospital to all the children from the afflicted areas in Attica.

Making a child’s dream come true

We made 4-year-old Angeline’s dream come true, in cooperation with Make-A-Wish, throwing a birthday party inspired by the movie Frozen.

Making young patients our priority

We joined forces with the Pediatric Trauma Care association, offering hospitality equipment to the Pediatric Clinic of the G. Chatzikosta General Hospital of Ioannina. Through this action, we contributed to the effort of the Association to improve hospitalization for all children.

Supporting sporting events

We contribute to promoting sporting ideals and support the preparation of the Greek athletes for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, providing free-of-charge healthcare services to the athletes through the “Adopt an Athlete on the Way to Tokyo 2020” initiative, and offering diagnostic tests, hospitalization and surgeries in the event of an accident or illness.

Assisting in the fight against breast cancer

We offered medical tests free of charge (breast ultrasound and mammography) to dozens of women, supporting the Breast Cancer Awareness and Women’s Clinical Examination program organized by the Alma Zois association as part of the efforts to raise public awareness for breast cancer.

Offering our medical services to residents of remote islands

We traveled to remote islands, offering medical tests free of charge to people with limited access to healthcare. Specifically, the Euroclinic medical and nursing staff traveled to Meganisi, Kalamos and Kastos, supporting the actions of Axion Hellas for the 4th year running.
